What is a Nervous System Stabilization Group (NSG)?
There’s no shortage of stress, fear, worry, and uncertainty — especially for healthcare professionals. The Nervous System Stabilization Group (NSG) works to:
Regulate your system
Restore a sense of internal safety
Teach practical skills to strengthen your resilience
It combines Post Traumatic Stress Management (PTSM) with Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to support your nervous system in digesting the experiences you’re currently living through.

Who’s A “Helper”?
Helpers include mental or physical healthcare workers, body or energy workers, social workers, first responders, teachers, or victim advocates.
This list isn’t exhaustive, though.
If you work in a helping field, you are more than welcome to join!
Improvements Over Sessions
We are constantly working on building this group and showing its value through hard data.
We ask participants to fill out a short Professional Quality of Life Scale (PROQOL) before and after the group, as well
What Is The Group Like?
NSG allows individuals to individually process a difficult experience in a supportive group format. The goal is to support collective healing without experiencing more potentially traumatic events. We’ll follow this format:
Practice a breathing exercise.
Focus on a memory of something upsetting for you and be walked through bilateral tapping*, without verbally sharing.
Talk about how to use this as a self-care practice.
Open the group to questions or further conversation.
Camera on and showing you is required during the group so we can more easily engage one another and be hands-free for the bilateral work.
* No specific type of bilateral stimulation is required. If tapping does not work, you can utilize eye movement, toe tapping, or a number of other options can be discussed.
